Bay City (steamer)
The Bay City, a 135 -foot steamer bout at Hood River in 1887 as the Wasco for middle river use by the Coe brothers, was taken over the Cascades of the Columbia in 1889 and sold to Capt. Sam Hoyt for Sound service. Capt Hoyt sold her to Capt. Ellis in 1892, at which time she was rebuilt and renamed. Capt. Bay City (steamer)
The Bay City (formerly the Hood River steamer Wasco of 1887) caught fire on Shilshole Bay while being operated in the excursion business at Seattle by Capt. W. H. Ellis.
