| Bertha (schooner) | Capt. Alexander Allan, Arctic trader, disposed of his power schooners Duxbury and Trader and began construction on Lake Washington of a new schooner, the Bertha, 52 feet long and powered by a 20-horsepower gasoline engine. The Bertha was wrecked off the Kuskokwim River the same year and was replaced by the 72-foot E. L. Dwyer of 50 horsepower. The Duxbury was repowered at this tune with a new 50-horsepower Frisco standard engine, replacing her original 30-horsepower Oriental gas engine of 1895 vintage.
