Defiance (schooner)
Peter Mathews at Hoquiam delivered the 604 -ton four masted schooner Defiance to the E. K. Wood Lumber Company. With dimensions of 179.8 x 37.7 x 13.7, this was the largest sailing vessel to be built in the Pacific Northwest that year. She was initially commanded by Capt. Blum.
