| Governor Ames (schooner) | The Governor Ames, the first five-masted schooner in the United States, arrived at Nanaimo, April 19, 1891. She was built at Waldboro, Me., in 1888, was two hundred and forty-five feet six inches long, fifty feet beam, twenty-one feet hold, and registered 1,689 tons. E. W.
