Mw Mwii (scows)
John and M. Van der Wel owned two scows named MW in Seattle in the 1920s- The first was built in Seattle in 1921. The first MW was 1 1 tons and measured 30.5 ft long, 14 ft wide and had a depth of 3.2 ft. The scow disappears from the insurance records by 1928. MWII was built in 1923 in Seattle. She was a larger 2.1 ton scow measuring 40.6 ft in length, 15.8 ft wide and had a depth of 3.9 ft. MWII only appears in the 1924 insurance records (Firemen's Insurance Company 1923:135, 1924:135, 1926:143)
