Salvage King (2) (tug)
The 164-foot U.S. Army ocean tug ATR- 13 was acquired by the Pacific Salvage Co. and refitted by the Pacific Drydock Co., North Vancouver, as the best equipped salvage vessel to enter service in Northwest waters. Renamed Salvage King (2), the powerful steamer was based at Victoria, replacing the first Salvage King, a casualty of wartime service. Gordon Newell, Maritime Events of 1948, H.W.
