Star I (steamer)

This Star I was a steamer built in 1912 by the Seattle Construction and Dry Dock Company at Seattle washington. It was acquired from Balfour, Guthrie and Company on December 24, 1917 and commissioned on March 30, 1918. The vessel was assinged to the 13th Naval District as a minesweeper. She served the navy until struck from the Naval List on February 12, 1919 and returned to her owner. American Naval Fighting Ships, VI, p. 606.
