Travel Guides
Do you need one? Possibly. The problem is, you may not need the one you bought! There are so many to choose from today and you may find the sheer weight of them, if not the cost, render them prohibitive. Many guide books cover only major cities; some books do not cover accommodations.
Some you will want to own, others you might just read at a library. Here is a listing of some of the guides available:

- This is the most beautiful guide book -- and the most thorough. It has timelines, beautifully rendered city maps, pictures of dishes from Arosto misto to Scottiglia di Cinghiale! The section on train travel includes a picture of an FS rail ticket vending machine with a thorough explanation. Their book cover states "The guides that show you what others only tell you." and it does.

- Their list of guides covers most every place from Alaska to Yemen (except Trentino!).
- Let's Go: Published by Let's Go, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Harvard Student Agencies, Inc. Cambridge, Ma. Travel for the impecunious! One of the few guides that will tell you where to find a laundromat!
