Italian Genealogy Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ)
Version 1.1b. (4-February-98)
Editor's Note: With Version 1.1 of this FAQ it is now divided into
one file for each answer. When the reader decides to review the answer
to one of the questions only the file containing the answer will be loaded.
Once the reader finishes reviewing the answer s/he can click on the web
browser's "BACK" button and the web browser should return the
reader to the main questions document.
Previously, with the posting of Version 1.0, the Italian Genealogy FAQ
had at least one answer for each question. The FAQ is, however, very much
a "work in progress". Some questions may disappear as they are
combined with others - and new questions will certainly be added. While
there are answers written below, those answers may be changed, expanded
or edited with new information.
Answers have not been credited to individuals. An overall list of contributors
is provided, but individual credit for each answer is not given. In the
process of editing, contributions from several individuals may be used
in one question and thus, giving credit at the end of each question may
not be feasible.
