DIRECTIONS:

 Take white bread dough and let rise in a greased bowl over night. 
Punch down the dough, then grab a ball of dough and spread it out
over the palm of your hand.  Fry the dough in a skillet with oil.  

 Serve sprinkled with sugar or, my favorite, with salt

Comments: My grandmother made these every morning for breakfast for us when we visited them in Scranton, PA. My mother had them a lot in Nebraska where she grew up and they called them "Dough Gods". That was funny too since her family wasn't Italian but English!
