After ten sessions of riveting, here is a finished product.  It has been primed and painted black to discourage rusting.

You will notice a bend in the frame towards the bottom.  That is to allow it to screw to the underside of the front of the roof.  Here is a side view of the bend.

The last photo on this page has the new frame with the measurements.  This will allow someone to create a frame from scratch with no template.
